Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Community Health Center, Inc. in New Britain, Connecticut.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide high-quality women's health care services, including well-woman visits, routine screening tests, health maintenance, and anticipatory guidance. They will work collaboratively with our team of healthcare professionals to ensure timely referral to community OB/GYN for continued prenatal and obstetrical care.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife and be committed to caring for underserved populations. They will possess excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills and be proficient in computer skills.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality women's health care services, including well-woman visits and routine screening tests
  • Ensure timely referral to community OB/GYN for continued prenatal and obstetrical care
  • Collaborate with the community OB/GYN group on shared medical care
  • Work closely with other team members to accomplish assigned goals and objectives
  • Ensure compliance with CHC standards, including those established by the Joint Commission and State of Connecticut licensure
  • Adhere to CHC standards for Electronic Health Record charting and documentation
  • Participate in daily huddles, team meetings, and quality initiatives to improve outcomes
Qualifications
  • Licensed or license eligible in State of Connecticut
  • Current DEA license
  • Current CPR certification
  • Board Certified as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner or Certified Nurse Midwife
