Key Responsibilities
The Nutrition Services Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing established departmental operational systems, ensuring the operational needs of the team are met, and actively participating in the enhancement of new operational processes as a vital member of the management team.

Direct supervision of the storeroom clerk and culinary staff is required, ensuring that their operational needs are adequately addressed.

The Supervisor will work collaboratively to implement and uphold infection control measures with the clerk, fostering a safe, sanitary, and organized storage environment.

Maintaining effective communication with patients, staff, and customers regarding the quality of services provided by the Nutrition Services team is essential. This feedback will be communicated to the management team and/or staff as necessary.

Additionally, the Supervisor will ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet daily operational demands while reflecting cost efficiency. Responsibilities include recruiting, hiring, and managing staff performance, as well as assigning tasks and adjusting workloads in response to shifting priorities in daily operations.

The Supervisor will also play an active role in the menu development process for patient, cafeteria, and catering services.

Qualifications
• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in food services, with at least two (2) years in a hospital nutrition setting.
• An Associate of Arts degree is required.
• Certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist is mandatory.

If not currently certified, the candidate must obtain certification within 12 months of hire, unless otherwise mandated by state or local health regulations.

• Current certification as a ServSafe Food Protection Manager is required.
• ServSafe Allergen certifications must be current (within the past 12 months).
• A Fire Safety card must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
