Job Title: Speech Language Pathologist PRN

At Intermountain Health, we are seeking a skilled Speech Language Pathologist PRN to join our team. As a Speech Language Pathologist PRN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality speech therapy services to patients in our hospital setting.

Job Summary:

The Speech Language Pathologist PRN will be responsible for screening, testing, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating disorders of speech, language, cognitive communication, voice, and swallowing. You will work closely with our Physical Medicine Director to coordinate speech therapy activities with other hospital disciplines and develop a program for department expansion, community, and physician marketing, budget needs, and department administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Carry out speech therapy evaluations, program planning, and treatments for hospital inpatients and outpatients.

  • Work independently with limited contact with other Speech Language Pathologists.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in speech pathology, required.
  • Current license to practice speech-language pathology in the State of Colorado, required.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) and achieve clinical competencies by the required clinical internships, required.
  • Strong Clinical Fellows with demonstrated competence may work under supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist while completing the fellowship year, required.
  • Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, required by completion of the unit-specific orientation and before working independently.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least six (6) months of experience in the acute care setting, including experience with Modified Barium Swallow Studies, preferred.
Physical Requirements:
  • Hearing/listening, lifting, manual dexterity, pulling/pushing, seeing, sitting, speaking, squatting/kneeling, standing, and walking.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$34.06 - $52.55
