Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Lead to join our 2nd shift team at our Houston facility. As a key member of our production operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the production objectives and leading a team in the assembly process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direction and guidance to hourly employees in the department.
  • Organize job duties and oversee training for new hires, ensuring they meet matrix requirements for cross-training.
  • Mentor and facilitate safety squad and safety program activities.
  • Organize and prioritize daily workflow to meet customer delivery dates.
  • Create work orders and write HFDs.
  • Troubleshoot machine problems and make recommendations when necessary.
  • Work with engineers, supervisors, and suppliers to resolve quality issues and meet customer demand.
  • Coordinate inventory cycle counts and forecasting for raw and external vendor-related materials.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have previous leadership experience, strong multi-tasking and organizational skills, and excellent communication abilities. Proficiency in PCs and Windows software, as well as experience with technical documents and ISO 9000 quality systems, is also required.

You should be proficient in mechanical troubleshooting skills, mechanical assembly skills, excellent communication skills, shop math skills, and blueprint reading.

Salary: $20 - $25 / hr
