The ideal candidate should possess prior experience across various marketing disciplines, including content development utilizing Adobe Suite, communications, advertising, branding, digital marketing, video production, photography, and social media management.
The Marketing Coordinator must demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines. This individual will work with integrity and dedication to advance the marketing and communications objectives.
This includes the planning, execution, and assessment of marketing and communication activities that bolster the mission and vision of Charles Drew Health Center.
A robust public image of Charles Drew Health Center within the community and an increase in the number of unique patients served will serve as key indicators of success for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the production and development of internal publications such as newsletters, email communications, planned publications, intranet content, videos, and special projects.
- Collaborate with department managers to create, produce, and implement internal communications and promotional materials.
- Conduct interviews and research for articles and social media content.
- Ensure the organization’s website is consistently updated.
- Design and create social media posts that reflect the company’s vision and adhere to brand standards.
- Monitor external social media content to ensure positive public engagement and maximize brand visibility.
- Generate rich and engaging content optimized for search engines.
- Coordinate staff and promotional materials for outreach events.
- Manage the ordering and inventory of promotional items for distribution at public relations events.
- Attend, promote, and document all outreach events through photography and videography.
- Develop and manage timelines for various marketing activities to ensure strategic goals are met in a timely manner.
- Maintain compliance with all relevant policies and guidelines.
- Provide written monthly status reports to the supervisor.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with marketing and healthcare trends.
- Participate in routine meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited institution with a focus on marketing, communications, or advertising is preferred.
Experience: Experience in traditional and digital marketing, content marketing, and social media marketing is essential.
Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, Hootsuite, Dropbox, and website management.
Language: English
Work Hours: 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.
Travel: Local and occasional travel may be required.
