Job Summary

The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the sanitation team in our food manufacturing plant. This role involves mentoring, training, and developing team members, ensuring compliance with sanitation regulations, and implementing company policies. The successful candidate will maintain a clean and sanitary environment, conduct regular inspections, and promote a safe working atmosphere. This position requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the sanitation team and ensure effective cleaning and sanitizing of the warehouse, production areas, offices, and equipment.
  • Develop and implement sanitation procedures to meet company and USDA standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with sanitation regulations and company policies.
  • Train and develop team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Management and QA team to ensure sanitation goals are met.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent education.
  • Certification in HACCP, Food Handling, or Culinary Arts is preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a food warehouse or fresh food manufacturing environment.
  • 1 year or more experience applying HACCP and enforcing routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) and in a food environment is essential.
Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to supervise a diverse team of Supervisors and team members with positive results and outcome.
  • Knowledge of OSHA/CalOSHA safety requirements and expectations, First Aid/CPR, Food Hygiene, and HACCP.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability and initiative to multi-task throughout the day.
  • Ability to motivate others to work routine and monotonous processes and stand for extended periods of time.
Work Demands/Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this Job, it is primarily working in a chilled factory or warehouse environment with prolonged standing and walking. Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, grab, carry items, talk, or hear with frequent use of hands to finger, handle, lift, or feel. Regularly exposed to chilled temperatures.
