The U.S. Department of Health & Human Services is seeking a highly skilled Nurse (Outpatient) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive care to pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct professional nursing care to patients, reviewing their medical history, assessing their current health conditions, and evaluating their ability to self-care.
- Administer medication in accordance with the plan of care and assist providers with procedures.
- Participate in patient-centered medical home by providing care coordination based on patient needs, assisting patients in establishing goals, and providing education to patients and families to improve their health outcomes.
To be eligible for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. This experience must have been obtained in either the private or public sector and must have involved performing the following type of work and/or tasks:
- Providing direct professional nursing care to patients, reviewing their medical history, assessing their current health conditions, and evaluating their ability to self-care.
- Administering medication in accordance with the plan of care and assisting providers with procedures.
- Participating in patient-centered medical home by providing care coordination based on patient needs, assisting patients in establishing goals, and providing education to patients and families to improve their health outcomes.
We are looking for candidates with a strong background in nursing and experience working in an outpatient setting. A bachelor's degree in nursing and eligibility under the Superior Academic Achievement provision are also preferred.
