Job Description:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service. Our pharmacy technicians are the face of our pharmacy, interacting with customers and developing strong relationships with patients.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician. In this role, you will assist pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy, including retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine, and checking for possible interactions.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for:

  • Assisting pharmacists in the performance of pharmacy duties, including scheduling and maintaining work flow
  • Processing prescriptions, including entering patient and drug information into pharmacy systems
  • Providing excellent customer service, including greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues
  • Developing strong relationships with customers and patients
  • Assisting with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing shipment of pharmaceuticals
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist

Requirements:

  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
  • Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evening and weekend hours
  • Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment
  • Prefer good math skills and computer skills
