Central Admission Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Central Admission Coordinator to join our team at Gaylord Opco LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the facility inquiry and admission process, providing customers with facility-related information, and coordinating admissions with internal teams.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to inquiry calls from hospital discharge planners, families, and other referral sources, managing the admission process and maintaining updated bed availability and facility services information.
- Communicate special needs of new admits to staff to ensure a smooth transition and ensure daily entry of referral sources and admissions data into the automated referral system.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Federal and State regulations and reimbursement guidelines, assisting with managed care referral process and database of medical contacts/community resources.
- Perform daily follow-up on all active and pending inquiries and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Associate and/or Bachelor's Degree in Business/Communications field preferred, or two years equivalent experience in a sales/marketing position or Admissions Coordinator position.
- One year of experience in a position requiring customer service and healthcare knowledge, with previous healthcare community relations experience preferred.
