About the Job

The Customer Service Specialist position is a full-time, non-exempt, hybrid remote role that operates out of Colorado Christian University's Financial Aid office. This department integrates student service functions, and the Customer Service Specialist maintains excellent student support in areas like financial aid, payment arrangements, and student accounts. They resolve student financial issues while proactively assisting students and parents to investigate all payment options.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Contribute to CCU's mission by promoting Christ-centered higher education and exemplifying Christ in establishing relationships with students and their parents.
  2. Troubleshoot account issues regarding payments, student aid, and financial arrangements.
  3. Work with new and current students to ensure payment/aid is in place.
  4. Respond to inbound calls, emails, and walk-in visits, and initiate outbound communication to students regarding financial aid and student account concerns.
  5. Understand and communicate CCU policies and processes.
Work Environment

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.   2. Able to effectively communicate personal faith and apply biblical principles and convictions in the workplace. Must have a strong sense of calling to the ministry of Colorado Christian University.
  3. Regularly attend and be engaged in meaningful involvement in a Bible-believing evangelical local church. Knowledgeable about the Word of God and passionate about Christian education.
  4. Must be a traditional evangelical Christian whose lifestyle is in consonance with sound Christian principles, is compatible with CCU's Statement of Faith, and is in agreement with the Strategic Priorities promulgated by the University.
