Position Overview:
The Golf Shop Customer Service Representative plays a vital role in promoting the sport of golf and representing the Club, all while delivering the Three Steps of Service to our Members and guests. This position entails ensuring top-notch service, managing merchandise orders, and overseeing the daily operations of the golf shop.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver friendly and efficient customer service within the pro shop, accurately processing transactions at the register and checking in all golfers prior to their rounds. This includes proper cash handling and adherence to operational standards.
- Address inquiries and schedule tee times for Members and guests, both in-person and via phone. Maintain a focus on the needs of Members and guests while demonstrating professionalism and courtesy, even in high-pressure situations.
- Manage inventory controls, oversee merchandise check-in, and organize storage and display areas. Ensure that inventory levels of frequently stocked items (e.g., shirts, socks, gloves, hats, balls) are maintained.
- Assist with marshaling, starting, and outside services as required.
- Provide support to the Head Golf Professional, General Manager, and Tournament Coordinators as needed.
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in customer service, with a foundational understanding of golf.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor settings, with exposure to varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
