Job Overview

Cross-functional role supporting the development of engaging digital content for our Retail Group member websites. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure SEO and content best practices are followed. Communicate and drive local content marketing strategies for individual stores to enhance organic SEO.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough SEO research to craft compelling and creative original content that captures the target audience's attention and drives action.
  • Edit content to maintain consistent quality, voice, messaging, and brand alignment, with a focus on SEO optimization.
  • Load content, make website updates, and optimize SEO properties through our website content management system (CMS).
  • Manage and update content via our website content management system (CMS). Ensure accurate SEO properties are captured and correctly applied.
  • Collaborate with internal teams using project management software to communicate and document completed work. Provide guidance to other teams when necessary.
  • Offer creative direction, source, and resize images for new website content. Assist with reputation management and provide support to additional teams needing content assistance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism or related field.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in marketing, SEO copywriting, or account management.
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to discuss broad or complex concepts and simplify them into clear, concise messaging to target audience across various formats and channels.
  • Solid understanding of basic SEO implementation and content writing.
  • Solid experience using the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook).
  • Experience with SEO copywriting and platforms such as Conductor, Bright Local, and Surfer SEO is a plus.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (like WordPress), Google Analytics, and HTML is a plus.
  • Strong spelling and grammar, along with the ability to communicate courteously, tactfully, and concisely with both management and members are necessary.
