Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct research, planning, and design of mechanical testing systems, focusing on areas such as vibration, thermal, hydraulic, radio frequency, and electro-optical testing for production environments.
2. Validate and integrate testing systems to meet rigorous accuracy and reliability standards.
3. Assess production installations and propose design enhancements to rectify malfunctions.


Essential Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.
2. At least two years of experience in mechanical design or production support.
3. Proficiency in CAD solid modeling tools and experience in creating mechanical drawing packages.
4. Eligibility to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance.


Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Creo for mechanical and electronic packaging design.
2. Familiarity with Configuration Management processes and tools (e.g., Windchill / cPDM).
3. Background in mechanical sub-systems packaging, materials, thermal analysis, structural analysis, control systems, electrical hardware design, or large assembly development.
4. Knowledge of environmental stress screening of hardware and geometric dimensioning and tolerance analysis.
