Position Overview:
The Clinical Pharmacist plays a crucial role in delivering comprehensive pharmacy services to patients, collaborating closely with the healthcare team. This position involves supervising pharmacy technicians and support staff in the safe distribution, dispensing, and compounding of medications, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver clinical pharmacy services, including renal/hepatic dosage adjustments, pharmacokinetic dosing, anticoagulation monitoring, total parenteral nutrition, and antimicrobial stewardship.
- Provide drug information and guidance to patients and healthcare professionals, including medical, nursing, and pharmacy staff.
- Oversee and delegate tasks to pharmacy technicians and support staff to ensure efficient prescription verification, preparation, and distribution of medications.
- Analyze and interpret medication orders and laboratory results to ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes, documenting interventions as necessary.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to manage and recommend drug therapy regimens, focusing on patient and family-centered care.
