  • Monitor progress: Assess family and individual development towards established goals, regularly updating service plans as necessary.
  • Engage in outreach: Promote community awareness and provide educational programs for families and youth.
  • Maintain availability: Ensure consistent communication with families, offering crisis intervention support as needed.
  • Educate stakeholders: Train school personnel and others involved with children on managing challenging behaviors.
  • Encourage self-determination: Assist families in identifying and accessing community services and resources.

  • Support spiritual growth: Help families leverage their spiritual beliefs as a source of strength.
  • Exhibit professionalism: Model respect and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Travel for meetings: Meet families at various locations, utilizing personal transportation as required.

Administrative Duties:

  • Documentation: Prepare and submit reports regarding case load status, budget requests, and service plan changes.
  • Incident reporting: Follow standard procedures for reporting critical incidents involving families or staff.
  • Timely record-keeping: Ensure all documentation and service plans are completed promptly.
  • Feedback implementation: Act on supervisor feedback to enhance service delivery.
  • Compliance assurance: Adhere to all relevant contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Professional updates: Inform supervisors of any changes in professional status that may impact job performance.
  • Training opportunities: May receive training to become a certified instructor for parenting courses.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services or a related field, or equivalent experience in specified states.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working with children and families.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to provide personal transportation for job-related travel.
  • Availability for crisis response and non-traditional hours.
  • Bilingual skills may be required based on business needs.
  • Certification or licensure may be necessary based on location and contractual obligations.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in community-based programs or with Boys Town services.
