Position Overview

Columbus Technical College is looking for a qualified individual to take on the role of an adjunct faculty member within the Criminal Justice Program. This position involves preparing educational materials and assessing student performance to ensure they meet the established learning objectives. This is a part-time, exempt role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates tailored educational programs and instruction for students
  • Maintains compliance with college policies and safety standards in both classroom and laboratory settings
  • Selects and acquires suitable instructional resources for courses
  • Ensures uniformity in course outlines, lesson plans, assessments, and other relevant coursework
  • Oversees the utilization and upkeep of supplies, equipment, and facilities related to the program
  • Supports recruitment and promotional initiatives
  • Assists with student registration and orientation processes
  • Engages in committee meetings related to curriculum development and extracurricular activities as necessary
  • Contributes to the planning and implementation of special events and projects as requested
  • Demonstrates a strong commitment to work performance; operates effectively within the organizational framework; exhibits reliability and responsible conduct.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (e.g., Criminal Justice, Justice Administration) *and* at least one year of experience in the criminal justice sector

-OR-

  • A Master's Degree from an accredited institution with a focus in the relevant field (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours or 27 graduate quarter hours) *and* at least one year of experience in the criminal justice sector

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation will be based on educational qualifications and professional experience.
