About the Role:

The Software Team Manager will oversee the frontend, backend, and QA engineers at Lumafield. This role requires close collaboration with designers and product managers to scope software projects and ensure their effective execution.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in software development, 5+ years of experience in developing Python-based backends, React-based frontends, or both, and 2+ years of experience managing software teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Lumafield's frontend, backend, and QA engineers
  • Oversee project development and delivery for user-facing software on our Neptune, Triton, and Voyager products
  • Work closely with product managers and Engineering/Product leadership to align on objectives and deliverables for your team
  • Oversee, tweak, and run Lumafield's Agile-based SDLC
  • Provide high-level architectural and product input as a key stakeholder in our software development process
  • Get your hands dirty in order to advance strategic initiatives or keep projects on track

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • 10+ years of experience developing software
  • 5+ years of experience in developing Python-based backends, React-based frontends, or both
  • 2+ years of experience managing software teams, ideally at startups
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud-based software role with architectural responsibilities
  • 2+ years of startup experience
