University of Miami is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Coral Gables, Florida.
Job Summary:We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care in our Preoperative and Postoperative Care Unit (PACU). As a Registered Nurse (RN) in this role, you will be responsible for assessing patients, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and providing education to patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess patients and develop individualized care plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide direct and indirect patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and documenting patient information.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
- Provide education to patients and families on health and wellness, disease management, and treatment options.
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required.
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Florida.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a Preoperative and Postoperative Care Unit (PACU) setting.
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree.
- Specialized certifications in critical care, pediatrics, or perioperative nursing.
- Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare technology.
