Job Description:

Optum, a leading clinician-led care organization, is seeking an experienced Clinical Ultrasound Supervisor to join our team in Mount Kisco, NY. As part of our radiology practice, this role will play a crucial part in maximizing clinical services and ensuring seamless workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create monthly technologist schedules to align with current operating hours, maximizing efficiency and addressing staffing issues.
  • Daily communication with department staff regarding staffing adjustments and operational concerns.
  • Perform clinical exams as needed, maintaining proficiency in ultrasound modalities.
  • Coordinate and approve 'STAT' exams to optimize department workflow.
  • Collaborate with Radiology Manager to develop clinical protocols for the entire practice, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Lead preparations for ACR accreditations, ensuring compliance and adherence to standards.
  • Resolve departmental issues independently, utilizing resources effectively and following up as necessary.
  • Maintain regular contact with Managers, contributing to meetings and agendas.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field.
  • AART certification/licensure, along with 3+ years of experience as a technologist and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to lead and interact with staff, physicians, and external partners.
  • Knowledge of standard policies, procedures, and protocols to supervise the department directly.
  • Familiarity with radiology standards, specifically ultrasound protocols, to evaluate work and maintain quality assurance.

Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related field
License/Certifications:
AART certification/licensure
Work Experience:
3+ years of experience as a technologist and 3+ years of supervisory experience
Skills:
Excellent communication skills, leadership, organizational skills, knowledge of standard policies and procedures, familiarity with radiology standards and quality assurance.
