We are seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Optum, a leading healthcare organization. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

About the Role

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be responsible for operating various types of ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. You will work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with ultrasound technology, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to work independently and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing your time effectively.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate various types of ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
  • Work closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare providers.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence within the radiology department.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or bachelor's degree in radiologic sciences or related field preferred.
  • ARDMS certification (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required; RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) certification preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in ultrasonography, preferably in maternal-fetal medicine.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
