**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Manager to join our team at Manitou Americas. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our production processes, ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of production through the shop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement production schedules to meet business objectives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and direct a team of production staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary resources and training to perform their duties effectively.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Department to ensure that products meet the required quality standards, and implement corrective actions to address any quality issues.
  • Cost Control: Analyze and optimize production costs, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving initiatives.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including management, production staff, and external stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum seven years of management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering and/or Manufacturing/Operation Management.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong leadership and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in the use of Google software applications and Microsoft Office.

Working Conditions:

  • This position is located in Yankton, SD.
  • Travel up to 5%.
