About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Planning Consultant to join our team at Commonwealth Financial Network. As a key member of our Advanced Planning department, you will play a critical role in providing educational and consultative financial planning strategies to our network of independent financial advisors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and analyze estate planning documents to address complex questions from financial advisors.
  • Identify potential issues on various wealth management projects, including estate planning objectives, executive compensation plans, wills, trusts, stock options, and business succession planning.
  • Review client planning objectives to help identify opportunities to meet their needs.
  • Coach advisors to quarterback relationships with clients, other professionals, and help them focus on the strategic big picture.
Core Strengths and Skills
  • Ability to research complex issues and confidently help advisors think through clients' planning strategies.
  • Aptitude to manage multiple projects moving in different directions and to embrace a broad spectrum of disciplines on a daily basis.
  • Comfortable writing communication and strategy articles, developing client presentation pieces, and participating in public speaking.
Requirements
  • JD or CFP required.
  • Estate planning background or prior experience in financial services preferred.
