Metal Fabrication Specialist

SUMMARY Starting Rate: $25.00/Hour Full Time Benefits: $2,500 signing bonus (distributed over 12 months), Attendance Bonus, 10 Paid Vacation Days, 9 Holidays, 401K with company match, Medical, Vision, Dental, Life Insurance We are in search of proficient Metal Fabrication Specialists to meticulously assemble and weld pre-formed chassis within a manufacturing setting. Candidates must possess the ability to interpret technical drawings and fabricate according to design specifications and procedures. We are particularly interested in individuals with extensive experience in MIG welding, along with the capability to fabricate and assemble large horizontal balers. Our organization designs and constructs machinery from the ground up, offering an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and knowledge within a dynamic company. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following tasks:
  • Execute efficient and high-quality MIG welding on various metal thicknesses.
  • Fabricate large horizontal baler chassis and associated machinery components.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Utilize torch and plasma cutting tools.
  • Accurately measure using a tape measure and precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform tasks using a variety of hand and power tools (drills, grinders, sanders, etc.).
  • Safely maintain and operate equipment.
  • Set up and adjust MIG welding and cutting apparatus.
  • Forklift and overhead crane operation experience is advantageous.
  • Meet production benchmarks consistently.
  • Maintain a reliable attendance record and be available for overtime as needed.
  • Uphold a strong safety record.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude.

  • Proficient MIG welding experience.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Capability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Skill in using a tape measure, layout, and assembly setup.
  • Strong communication skills and adaptability to changing circumstances.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or relevant experience and/or training for the job classification. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write basic correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Depending on job classification, basic math and/or tape measure reading may be required. May also require the ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions. Ability to address problems involving a few variables in standardized situations.
