Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our engineering services and support team, you will be responsible for performing technical tasks that contribute to the planning and execution of engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with higher-level support staff to confer with engineers on details and implications of test procedures and results.
  • Assist in orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
  • Interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics to perform HVACR testing and troubleshooting.
  • Analyze HVACR performance data to resolve questions and problems.
  • Maintain units and laboratory equipment in proper operating condition.

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree, Technical/Business School Certificate or Diploma, Skilled Trades Apprenticeship, or other post-high school training.
  • 5+ years of technician experience.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications, specifically Excel.
  • Refrigerant recovery certification and ability to braze components.
  • Knowledge of HVACR systems, controls, diesel engines, and ability to troubleshoot unit issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CAN bus systems and physics of power and battery technology knowledge.
  • Environmental testing and data collection, metal fabrication, auto mechanics, programming, and/or CAD skills.
