Job Purpose

As a Senior Front End Engineer at Knitit, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience by developing the front-end user interface for our application. You'll have the opportunity to make significant technical decisions and contribute to our product's overall technical vision and strategy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain an efficient, reusable, and reliable web application.
  • Collaborate with the UXD team to create visually appealing and intuitive user interfaces.
  • Work closely with back-end developers to ensure seamless integration with REST APIs.
  • Debug and troubleshoot software issues to ensure a high-quality user experience.
  • Write high-quality, reusable, and modular code that adheres to industry standards.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to keep our technology stack up-to-date.
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and share knowledge across the team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in front-end development.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript frameworks, specifically React and Next.JS.
  • Solid understanding of CSS and TypeScript.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to think critically.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
Reporting Structure

You will be reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Cofounder.

Location

This position is based in Palo Alto, CA. We believe in the power of collaboration and creativity is critical for an early stage startup and is best captured in-person, hence the expectation is for in-office work 5 days a week.
