Key Responsibilities- Deliver outstanding customer service on the sales floor.
- Educate customers about our diverse product offerings and assist them in person or over the phone.
- Restock inventory as needed.
- Ensure a clean and organized shop environment.
- Prepare and pack orders for pickup.
- Design and assemble custom gift boxes.
- Assist with shop opening and closing procedures.
- Accurately manage cash drawers and assist in maintaining financial controls.
- Communicate effectively with management regarding customer feedback and product inquiries.
- Work independently in the shop, addressing customer questions and documenting any issues for follow-up.
- Process returns as necessary.
- Maintain possession of shop keys.
Minimum Requirements:
- Prior experience in retail, food service, or customer relations.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
- Basic math skills for cash handling.
- Proficient in managing challenging customer interactions and thriving in a dynamic environment.
- Strong teamwork abilities and a willingness to assist colleagues with a positive attitude.
- Commitment to a culture of learning and advocacy; appreciation for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays is essential.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A genuine passion for food and cooking.
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, or pushing of heavy items.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Capacity to stand for extended periods, exceeding 8 hours.
Compensation for this role starts at $20 per hour, with a pay range of $20 - $26.50.
