Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join our Wealth Transition Services team at Eide Bailly. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for working with clients across South Dakota to assist them with the transition of wealth from one generation to the next.

Responsibilities:
Typical Day in the Life

As a Tax Manager/Senior Manager, you will be responsible for interpreting and reviewing various legal documents in relation to estate and business succession planning. You will also conduct technical research on estate planning and compliance matters for internal clients, assist clients with varied levels of estate planning knowledge, and implement the planning process to create plans based on cash flow projections, distribution of income, business succession, estate preservation, and estate plan flow.

Additionally, you will manage client relationships internally and externally by proactively seeking solutions that add value to the client experience. You will also assist in preparation of marketing materials and presentation of internal and external webinar trainings, prepare and review gift, estate, and fiduciary tax returns, and work with staff to ensure gift, estate, and fiduciary tax returns are completed correctly by required deadlines and under firm processes.

Coaching and mentoring staff, participating in business development activities, and working with the firm Wealth Transition Services team on various projects are also key responsibilities of this role.


Qualifications:
Who You Are

You are an excellent communicator with outstanding verbal and written communication skills. You have expertise in transfer tax and estate planning, and may have experience with flow-through entities and private foundations.

You are a multi-tasking master with the ability to meet deadlines, and have experience developing business and networking. You hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, an active CPA license or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification, and/or equivalent experience working with wealth transition services.

Must have five or more (5+) years of experience in public accounting or related field working with individual clients and corporate trust companies. Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship.
