ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
Note: All essential job duties are conducted under the direct supervision and coordination of experienced personnel.
- Safely loads, transports, and unloads heavy equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, dump trucks, and other construction machinery.
- Conducts daily inspections of equipment to identify potential hazards, defects, and necessary repairs, performing minor maintenance as needed.
- May operate specialized machinery requiring technical expertise.
- Ensures all equipment is clean, well-maintained, and securely stored.
- Adheres to safety protocols and promotes a culture of safety awareness on job sites.
- Maintains a high level of attention to detail, particularly in high-traffic and potentially hazardous environments.
- Interacts professionally with clients and the public, communicating any concerns to supervisors.
- Fosters positive working relationships with colleagues and other team members.
- Available to work overtime, nights, and weekends, especially during peak seasons.
- Willingness to travel extensively to various job sites as required.
- Regular and punctual attendance is mandatory.
- Maintains a valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) and medical certification.
- Completes additional projects as assigned.
- Possession of a Class A CDL and medical certification.
- Demonstrated experience in heavy haul operations.
- Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
- Familiarity with commercial and civil construction, as well as FMCSA/DOT regulations, is advantageous.
- Ability to effectively communicate and interact with individuals at all levels within a construction setting.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights and weekends, and to travel for extended periods.
- Must be able to work in varying outdoor conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather.
- Ability to work around moving vehicles and machinery safely.
- Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50 pounds overhead.
- Requires standing, walking, kneeling, bending, and twisting for extended periods.
- Must possess good hand-eye coordination and dexterity.
- Exposure to noise levels that may be distracting or uncomfortable.
- Occasional exposure to dust, fumes, and hazardous equipment.
- Ability to work in various lighting conditions, from very bright to dim.
- Potential exposure to minor injuries such as cuts or burns.
- May need to work in confined spaces or tight areas.
- Regular use of personal protective equipment, including hard hats and safety goggles, is required.
