Meat Cutter Specialist

We're seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for cleaning, cutting, portioning, and merchandising all boneless meat products. If you have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional results, we want to hear from you

• Clean, trim, slice, and portion subprimals of beef, pork, lamb, and veal for future processing.
• Inspect meat products for defects, bruises, or blemishes.
• Accurately read and comprehend all customer-specific instructions.
• Perform Quality Control checks and communicate with supervisors and managers regarding any defects.
• Separate meats and byproducts into specified containers and seal containers.
• Use knives, cleavers, and other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming.
• Weigh meats and tag containers for weight and contents.
• Follow the company's detailed product specifications.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Working knowledge of production equipment.
• Ability to portion all boneless cuts of meat in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ability to reduce processing costs by cutting and sizing portions accurately while continuing to meet customer specifications.
• Ability to problem-solve in terms of trimming and product substitutions.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure, challenging environment.
• Must be a team player and possess a positive attitude.
• Ability to effectively communicate, both written and verbally, in English.
• Must demonstrate the ability to understand the Meat Buyer's Guide specifications as they relate to the company's internal product specifications.
