Theology Educator

Job Title: Theology Teacher Job Summary: Loyola High School, a Catholic high school in the Jesuit tradition, is seeking a qualified Theology Teacher to join our faculty. As a Theology Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and developing student knowledge of theology, spirituality, morality, and social justice. You will also be expected to demonstrate instructional practices that engage students in conceptual thinking, promote problem solving and creativity, and challenge students to achieve high standards of content mastery. Key Responsibilities: * Plan and implement creative lessons and inspire students to learn. * Teach and develop student knowledge of theology, spirituality, morality, and social justice. * Demonstrate instructional practices that engage students in conceptual thinking, promote problem solving and creativity, and challenge students to achieve high standards of content mastery. * Take ownership for student academic progress and show an active interest in student achievement. * Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt delivery to meet the needs of students with varying academic skill levels. * Communicate timely and effectively with students, parents, and staff. * Collaborate with staff and other professionals to plan lessons and meet student needs. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or related field required. * Master's degree preferred. * Certification or pathway to certification as an Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic High School Theology Teacher preferred.
