Theology Educator

Loyola High School, a Catholic institution in the Jesuit tradition, seeks a qualified Theology Teacher to join our faculty. As a member of our team, you will play a vital role in shaping the minds and spirits of our students.

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Theology Teacher to teach high school students in the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Ignatian pedagogy and a commitment to Jesuit values. • Plan and implement engaging lessons that promote conceptual thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
• Teach and develop student knowledge of theology, spirituality, morality, and social justice.
• Take ownership of student academic progress and demonstrate an active interest in student achievement.
• Provide individual and small-group instruction to meet the needs of students with varying academic skill levels.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff.
• Collaborate with staff and other professionals to plan lessons and meet student needs.

• Bachelor's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, or a related field required.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Certification or pathway to certification as an Archdiocese of Detroit Catholic High School Theology Teacher preferred.
