Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Inventory Coordinator to join our team at Nuvance Health. The successful candidate will be responsible for the coordination and management of surgical instrumentation, including the development and maintenance of Instrument Tracking software, monitoring repairs and downtime for broken or missing instruments, and collaborating with Surgical Services Specialty Charge Nurses and other unit leaders in the allocation and maintenance of instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the development and maintenance of Instrument Tracking software, including troubleshooting software issues and maintaining work orders.
2. Collaborate with company vendors, Charge Nurses, and other institutions to manage the ingress and egress of all loaned and consigned instrumentation.
3. Manage sterilization parameters for all owned, loaned, and consigned instrumentation according to manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFU), and train staff on IFU sterilization parameter and cleaning process updates/changes.
4. Provide support for clinical education on new instrumentation for proper cleaning, assembly, and sterilization, in collaboration with Specialty Charge Nurses.
5. Develop policies for care, handling, and transport of all owned, loaned, and consigned instrumentation, and report vendor noncompliance and maintain accountability.
6. Support front-line staff in the use and application of Instrument Tracking software, and assist in the management of inventory system downtime.
7. Collaborate with Specialty Charge Nurses, Sterile Processing, Material Management team, and other clinical staff to facilitate the timely and accurate ordering of instrumentation, and maintain records of Instrumentation budgets for the Operating Room and Sterile Processing.

Requirements:
CRCST (HSPA) or CBSPD certification
OR experience
Minimum of two years of experience
HS Graduate or Equivalent

Working Conditions:
Significant manual skills/motor coordination and finger dexterity
Significant occupational risk
Very Heavy effort, may exert up to 50 lbs. force
Significant exposure to dirt, odor, noise, human waste, etc.
