About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our culinary team at Ozark Mill LLC. As a key member of our kitchen leadership, you will be responsible for supporting the Executive Chef and ensuring a high level of culinary quality and service in our restaurant.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in a professional kitchen. They will be able to organize and manage multiple priorities, demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and possess the ability to motivate others and lead people in correct procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Food Production and Quality Control
    • Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation throughout preparation and service execution.
  • Kitchen Operations and Efficiency
    • Assist in scheduling staff according to budget and business needs, monitor daily operations, and maintain accurate kitchen records.
  • Staff Development and Training
    • Continually train and update staff on new recipes, techniques, and procedures.
  • Sanitation and Maintenance
    • Ensure proper sanitation of kitchen facilities and equipment, as well as maintenance of kitchen coolers and freezers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or management role in a professional kitchen.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate others and lead people in correct procedures.
  • Knowledge of farm-to-table dining principles.

Salary Range

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
