Key Responsibilities:

  1. Greet and direct patients, family members, and guests to the appropriate therapy professionals.
  2. Verify that patients have all necessary documentation to avoid delays in service.
  3. Act as a liaison between the facility and the public, both in person and via telephone.
  4. Maintain the patient waitlist to ensure timely service delivery.
  5. Keep the lobby area tidy and notify relevant departments of any maintenance needs.
  6. Record patient information accurately and manage insurance documentation.
  7. Answer incoming calls promptly and ensure messages are relayed effectively.
  8. Schedule appointments for physical therapy and obtain necessary insurance authorizations.

Therapeutic Duties:

Under the supervision of licensed therapists, the individual will:

  1. Administer physical and occupational therapy treatments as directed.
  2. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises and monitor their progress.
  3. Utilize various modalities such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation to enhance treatment outcomes.
  4. Assist patients in improving their functional abilities and daily living skills.
  5. Document patient responses to treatments and collaborate with therapy staff for comprehensive care planning.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with electronic health records and insurance processes is advantageous.

Physical Requirements:

Candidates must demonstrate good physical health, with the ability to:

  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods.
  • Lifting at least 10 pounds as needed.
