The Opportunity

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Coordinate with multi-discipline teams on hydroelectric power and hydraulic structures projects
  • Prepare civil, structural, and hydraulic drawings, specifications, feasibility studies, alternative analysis, and other reports
  • Conduct condition and risk assessments of civil assets, including dams, canals, pipelines, and other hydraulic structures
Key Responsibilities

As a Hydroelectric Power Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Focusing on coordinating internal teams and resources while working to understand client needs and interests
  • Developing structural technical specifications, plans, and details for projects such as dams, canals, flood control projects, and pipelines
  • Conducting studies or existing hydraulic engineering projects to assess their efficiency or safety risks
  • Planning, designing, and overseeing hydraulic engineering projects
Preferred Qualifications

We are seeking a professional with:

  • 7+ years of experience performing engineering-related duties with previous experience in tunneling, dams, buried infrastructure, linear infrastructure, and/or hydropower
  • 3+ years of experience in hydraulic structures design
  • Preferred Professional Engineer (PE) License or in active pursuit
Minimum Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program
  • Minimum of 8 years related work experience
  • Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements, including background checks and drug screens
Certifications

Active PE License or in active pursuit

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This role requires:

  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days in office/2 days remote)
  • Typical office environment, typical construction environment, extreme weather conditions, high noise level, safety hazards, and atmospheric conditions
