DLP Services is currently seeking:

POSITION TITLE: FACILITY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
FLSA: Non-Exempt |
Hourly Pay: $17.20 + Health & Welfare (H&W) $4.93 per hour
Classification: Full Time

Shift: Monday - Sunday (12 Hour Shift)

POSITION SUMMARY:

  • Ensures the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility to achieve client satisfaction.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Capable of executing extensive cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (utilizing a 25lb. vacuum for 3-4 hours daily), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and disposing of waste (lifting debris weighing a minimum of 55lbs).
  • Sanitizes drinking fountains and restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
  • Restocks supplies in restrooms and fills dispensers.
  • Cleans windows and sills (including door glass).
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required to accommodate events and facility schedules.
  • Must frequently navigate stairs and perform regular bending and standing throughout the shift.
  • Undertakes additional related tasks as assigned.


SUPERVISION:

Receives guidance from the Lead Supervisor. This role does not have formal supervisory responsibilities or authority. Must complete tasks independently without constant oversight.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The primary duties of this role are performed in both indoor and outdoor settings. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods while cleaning and/or sanitizing work areas. Responsibilities include stepping, stooping, crawling, climbing, lifting, bending, kneeling, pulling, and pushing while performing physically demanding tasks; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 55 pounds is necessary. Physical labor is a significant aspect of this role. The work environment may expose the employee to hazards or physical risks, necessitating adherence to basic safety protocols. There may be moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, cleaning chemicals, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.


ALCOHOL AND DRUG TESTING POLICY:

This position is subject to DLP Services' Drug-Free Workplace Policy, which includes Post-Accident Testing, Random Testing, and/or Reasonable Suspicion Testing.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Availability to work weekends is essential.
  • Must possess reliable transportation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Capacity to follow safety procedures effectively.
  • Proficient grooming skills.
  • Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment safely.
  • Capability to lift, push/pull, and manage heavy objects weighing up to 55 pounds.

Other:

Valid Driver's License Class C is required.
