Drug Rebate Manager Job Description

Conduent State Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced drug rebate professional to manage the day-to-day operations of a large-scale rebate team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of 10 Government Health Services pharmacy client teams responsible for providing rebate management solutions to state Medicaid clients, ensuring compliant and accurate billing and collection of billions of dollars each year.
  • Build relationships across client service teams to ensure compliance with CMS regulations and Conduent financial standards and align rebate service development priorities.
  • Manage the development, growth, and quality of rebate staff and deliver services to build bench depth and program resilience.
  • Provide CMS rebate subject matter expertise and remain current on federal rules and trends in the marketplace.
  • Maintain a strong professional network and promote the organization at industry meetings.
  • Meet with clients consistently via phone or in-person, interact with drug manufacturers, manage client relationships, and manage relationships with pharmaceutical companies on behalf of the state of Maryland.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and related experience including reporting.
  • Strong skills in MS Excel and other MS Office products.
  • Minimum of three years of experience managing a manufacturer drug rebate program in either a government or private sector.
  • Previous experience with Medicaid drug rebate dispute resolution between state and pharmaceutical companies.
  • Able to comprehend quantitative and qualitative methods to perform accurate analysis.
  • Three to five years of staff management experience, including a proven record of managing various levels within an organization.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Drams knowledge (preferred).
