Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrician with a background in military service to join our team at Hire Military Talent. As an Electrician, you will utilize your technical expertise to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical System Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, fixtures, and equipment, following local electrical codes and regulations.
  2. Electrical System Design and Planning: Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to determine the layout, location, and configuration of electrical systems.
  3. Electrical Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions, using testing devices and diagnostic techniques to identify the root cause of the problem.
  4. Electrical System Upgrades and Energy Efficiency: Collaborate with clients to provide expert advice on electrical system upgrades, energy efficiency measures, and electrical safety.
  5. Electrical Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and follow industry standards and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including service reports, parts used, and time spent.

Requirements:

  1. Military Veteran with Electrical Experience: Military veteran with experience in electrical work or related fields.
  2. Electrical Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, acquired through military training and experience.
  3. Electrical Installation and Repair: Proficiency in electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs, including residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
  4. Electrical Codes and Regulations: Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety procedures.
  5. Problem-Solving and Troubleshooting: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve electrical issues.
  6. Electrical Circuitry and Materials: Solid understanding of electrical circuitry, wiring methods, and electrical materials and equipment.
  7. Organizational and Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  8. Driver's License and Clean Record: Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  9. Electrical License or Certification: Electrical license or certification is preferred.
