Position Summary: We are currently seeking a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Personal Care at the Village at Shrewsbury Campus. This role requires a commitment of 69 hours per pay period, primarily during the day shift.
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
- Possession of a current, unencumbered LPN license in Pennsylvania.
Essential Skills:
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Effective decision-making and evaluation skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of current Department of Public Welfare regulations for personal care homes.
- Current CPR certification.
Preferred Experience: While prior experience is advantageous, it is not a strict requirement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Maintain accurate records of narcotics and manage their disposal as necessary; report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- Perform routine administrative duties, including completing lab slips, scheduling appointments, and preparing necessary documentation.
- Facilitate the admission, transfer, and discharge of residents in accordance with physician orders and agency policies.
- Oversee lab work to ensure compliance with physician directives and regulatory standards; consult with physicians regarding any abnormal results and implement approved actions.
