About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Department Lead to join our team at Altamira-US LLC. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing the company's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting.

You will provide strategic guidance on financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and lead and manage the accounting team to achieve departmental goals. Your expertise in accounting and finance will help drive business strategy and growth initiatives, while your analytical skills will help identify trends and areas for improvement.

Responsibilities and Expectations
  • Manage and maintain accurate and timely financial reports and statements
  • Develop and implement financial planning and budgeting processes
  • Lead and manage the accounting team to achieve departmental goals
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business strategy and growth initiatives
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, 10+ years experience in accounting and finance, including 2+ years as a controller or similar role
  • Mastery of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (U.S. GAAP)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to distill complex problems into actionable solutions
  • Collaborative working style and ability to build strong relationships with cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to communicate effectively at all levels

Estimated salary: $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
