About the Role

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join its Behavioral Health team. This dynamic role involves assessing patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing effective nursing care plans, and maintaining accurate medical records.

Job Description

The inpatient Registered Nurse will administer high-quality nursing care to patients with various mental health conditions, providing individualized support and guidance. This may involve advising patients on health maintenance and disease prevention strategies, administering medications, and monitoring for reactions and side effects.

Responsibilities
  • Achieve exceptional patient outcomes by delivering evidence-based care and promoting healthy behaviors.
  • Maintain accurate, detailed records of patient interactions, treatments, and progress.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, best practices, and new technologies.
Requirements
  • Currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse by the state of employment or holds a multistate RN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact required.
  • BLS certification required prior to orientation completion.
  • Act 31 training completion required within 45 days of hire.
