LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Part Time - Advanced Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit

Geisinger Health is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in the Advanced Acute Care Cardiac Telemetry Unit. As an LPN, you will contribute to the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, promoting adaptive responses of patients and families to achieve the highest level of patient care and satisfaction.
Responsibilities- Contribute to assessments as established by scope of practice and unit standards.
- Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Reinforce patient and family education, family needs, and discharge planning throughout hospitalization.
- Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, according to policy and procedure.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and plan of care based on patient response to interventions.
- Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to proactively resolve and facilitate patient needs.
- Participate in unit-based decision-making regarding the utilization of evidence-based practice.
- Provide input to the manager for performance appraisals of care delivery team members.
- Precept and mentor new staff and students in a professional, positive manner as assigned.
- Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing.
- Basic Life Support Certification and Licensed Practical Nurse licensure.
- Strong interest in Cardiac Nursing Care and willingness to learn and grow in a dynamic and challenging nursing career.
