We are seeking a highly skilled US Federal tax preparer and reviewer to join our Tax team at Carta, Inc. As a key member of our team, you will leverage our proprietary tax engine to file tax returns for our clients, who are the most talented venture capitalists, fund managers, and dealmakers in the world.
You will collaborate with our wider Carta accounting, fund administration, and compliance teams on relevant tax issues that relate to Carta's products and services. Your expertise will help us build a tax engine that makes tax filings feel as simple as ordering a book online.
The Challenges You'll Face- Turning professional services into products is a complex task. How do you productize workflows to deliver the fastest tax solutions with perfect accuracy?
- We are at the intersection of finance, tax, and technology. How do we build a tax engine that simplifies tax filings?
- We automate investment structures in venture capital. How can you help scale post-deal processes to make each container seamless and fun to use?
We are looking for a fully qualified CPA (or eligible to sit for the CPA exam) with at least 2 years of experience in public accounting. You must have US Federal tax experience for the preparation and filing of tax returns and IRS e-filings, focusing on partnership tax returns.
You are passionate and knowledgeable about venture capital, with a burning desire to see tax automation and simplification. You are organized and calm under pressure, able to manage competing demands on your time while persevering to solve ambiguous problems.
What We OfferCarta's compensation package includes a market-competitive salary, equity for all full-time roles, exceptional benefits, and commissions plans for applicable roles. Our expected cash compensation range for this role is $96,000 to $114,000 in Seattle, WA, and $102,000 to $120,000 in San Francisco, CA, Santa Clara, CA, and New York City, NY.
