Perioperative Educator Specialist

As a Perioperative Educator at Gritman Medical Center, you will play a vital role in assessing, developing, and implementing educational programs for perioperative personnel to maintain competency and continuing education. Your expertise will be essential in promoting a culture of excellence and ensuring that our staff has the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute educational programs for perioperative staff, including curriculum design, instructional delivery, and evaluation.
• Guide new nurses through the PeriOp 101 program, providing mentorship and support to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.
• Provide call coverage as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the team's success.
• Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to promote a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Act as a clinical resource for perioperative personnel, providing guidance and support to ensure evidence-based practice and adherence to professional guidelines.
• Assist perioperative personnel in evaluating current practice through quality and process improvement measures, driving positive change and innovation.
Requirements:
• BSN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current Idaho registered nurse license.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• CNOR certification (current or obtained within 1 year of hire).
