We are currently seeking applications for the position of Inclusive Education Specialist at our Learning Center.

Position Overview:

As an Inclusive Education Specialist, you will oversee the comprehensive management of your designated classroom. This includes evaluating students, ensuring the effective implementation of Behavior Plans, and designing as well as executing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). You will create and deliver engaging lesson plans and educational activities that cater to each student's unique strengths and needs. The role also involves providing guidance and supervision to classroom staff, including Teacher Assistants and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), in alignment with Chileda's educational objectives.

Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor's degree in special education or a related discipline.
  • A valid special education teaching license from the appropriate regulatory body is essential, or the capability to secure a license within a specified timeframe.
  • Preferred experience of at least two years working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, and attachment difficulties.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and the ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record check.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Exhibit respect, safety, compassion, and teamwork in interactions with students and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Manage essential classroom functions, including establishing daily schedules, developing lesson plans, and organizing activities.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable records related to IEP goals, grading, behavior, communication logs, treatment objectives, incident reports, and emergency procedures.
  • Collaborate with the behavioral department to deliver individualized behavioral interventions that are consistently applied within the classroom setting.
  • Provide constructive feedback to Teacher Assistants and Direct Support Professionals on a daily basis.
  • Stay informed about current treatment trends and ensure the application of evidence-based practices.
  • Demonstrate professional communication skills while upholding confidentiality in progress reporting.
  • Act as the designated Case Manager for assigned students, facilitating communication with relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.
