Attractive Compensation Package:

Starting wage of $22+ per hour, along with a $2 per hour shift differential.

Position Overview:

The Tube Line Operator is an essential team member responsible for mastering the operation of various machinery, including burnishers, straighteners, saws, and buffers, to ensure the production of high-quality products. This role also encompasses tasks such as operating an overhead crane, plate blaster, and forklift, while maintaining the tube line equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting welding repairs on manufactured tubes to address seam splits.
  • Operating a forklift to facilitate material movement within the production area.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by the supervisor to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintaining a productive and safe working environment to efficiently manufacture top-quality Valmont products.
  • Executing regular preventative maintenance on all equipment within designated areas.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience ranging from 0 to 6 months.
  • Basic proficiency in mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Successful completion of a forklift test administered by Valmont's safety department.
  • Aptitude for accurately reading a tape measure.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Skills in problem-solving and following instructions.
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally (with frequent lifts up to 10 pounds).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 months of prior experience operating manufacturing machinery.
  • Hands-on welding experience in a professional environment.
  • 1 year of background in a manufacturing or fabrication setting.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive approach towards collaboration with colleagues.
  • Effective leadership abilities to support divisional business objectives.
  • Demonstrated passion, integrity, and commitment towards achieving outstanding results.
