We are seeking an Autocad Designer Drafter with experience in Autocad Civil 3D. In this role, you will engage in a project that is vital to national security and safety. Your responsibilities will encompass both CAD Designer Drafter and GIS Specialist tasks utilizing ArcGIS, along with other assigned duties.

As a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver innovative and safe solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our offerings include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction.

We are collaborating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to remediate radiological contaminants at a designated site, which includes extensive contaminated waste and soil. The awarded contract for remediation services underscores the importance of this initiative.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Autocad Civil 3D
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to utilize data for mapping purposes
  • Capability to import various file formats
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD design software
  • Competence in revising or creating drawings that reflect field condition changes
  • Willingness to conduct field/site visits for data collection and drawing preparation
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; dual citizenship or visas are not acceptable for this position
  • Preference for candidates residing within commuting distance of the work location

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, process and utilities piping, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing design/drafting for industrial or governmental facilities
  • Familiarity with design software such as Microstation, SmartPlant, Navisworks, or BIM/3D software
  • Ability to navigate and manipulate 3D facility models for investigative or informational purposes
  • Experience with heavy industrial and nuclear projects

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements: The role will involve a mix of sedentary office tasks and fieldwork. Light items such as reports and laptops may need to be transported.

Work Environment: Office setting within construction trailers, with potential access to restricted areas.

Attendance: Regular attendance during standard office hours is crucial. Attendance is considered essential, barring approved time off.

Equipment: Standard office equipment, including personal computers and required CAD software, will be utilized.

Other Essential Functions: Candidates must be able to secure and maintain a security clearance, pass a pre-employment drug and background check, and communicate effectively in English. A commitment to safety and a positive work atmosphere is essential.

Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be necessary.

Grooming and Dress: Professional attire is expected, ensuring safety and appropriateness for the role.
