We are seeking a CAD Designer with expertise in Autocad Civil 3D for a significant project. In this role, you will engage in tasks that are vital to national security and safety. Your responsibilities will encompass both CAD design and GIS specialization, utilizing ArcGIS along with additional assigned tasks.

As a premier service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we offer safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our offerings include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering and construction.

We are collaborating with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to address radiological contaminants at a designated site, covering extensive areas of contaminated waste and soil. A substantial remediation services contract has been awarded for the cleanup of radioactive waste. Design plans and procedures are currently being formulated in preparation for site infrastructure enhancements.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Autocad Civil 3D
  • Experience with ArcGIS
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Ability to utilize data for mapping purposes
  • Competence in importing various file formats
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD design software
  • Capability to modify or create drawings that reflect field condition changes
  • Willingness to conduct field/site visits for data collection and drawing preparation
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory; dual citizenship or visas are not accepted for this position
  • Preference for candidates residing within commuting distance of the project site

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in architectural, structural, mechanical, process, utilities piping, HVAC, electrical, or plumbing design/drafting for industrial or governmental facilities
  • Familiarity with design software such as Microstation, SmartPlant, Navisworks, BIM/3D software
  • Ability to navigate and manipulate 3D facility models for investigative or informational purposes
  • Experience with heavy industrial and nuclear projects

Essential Requirements:

Physical Requirements: Work may range from sedentary office tasks to fieldwork. May involve transporting light items such as reports and laptops.

Work Environment: Office setting within construction trailers, potentially in restricted areas.

Attendance: Regular attendance during standard office hours is crucial. Attendance is considered essential except for approved leave.

Equipment: Standard office equipment including personal computers, scanners, and printers, along with required CAD software.

Other Essential Functions: Must obtain and maintain a security clearance. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and background check is required. Proficiency in reading and writing in English is necessary.

Commitment to safety and ethical practices is essential, including promoting a safe work environment and maintaining a positive atmosphere in interactions with colleagues and clients.

Travel may be required occasionally. A valid driver's license is necessary.
