Job Description

LanceSoft is seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Electrical Hardware Engineering organization, you will be responsible for designing and developing rugged military electrical systems and/or subsystems for ground, shipboard, and/or airborne applications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical circuit analysis, with experience using SPICE and other circuit simulation tools. You will also have experience designing and testing to environmental standards, such as MIL-STD-810 and MIL-STD-461.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop electrical systems and subsystems for military applications
  • Perform trade studies for critical subsystem and component selection
  • Perform system and circuit analysis on power schemes and digital and analog interfaces
  • Architect electrical systems and subsystems, performing requirement review, analysis, and derivation
  • Lead a small design team and mentor more junior engineers

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten years professional work experience required, or seven years' experience with a Master's degree in a STEM related discipline
  • Strong planning and organizational skills with ability to be adaptable to changing priorities and assignments
  • Must be a US Citizen with ability to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance
  • Must have design, analysis, and/or test experience with military electronic systems

Desired Skills:

  • Experience and working knowledge of Altium Designer
  • Excellent people skills working cooperatively in a team environment
  • Experience in the development and design of electronic circuit designs, multi-assembly system/unit design, processor designs a plus
