Executive Director, Ambulatory Nursing Services Leader

Job Summary:
Wellstar Health System, Inc. seeks a seasoned nursing leader to oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient care services within Ambulatory Care Services. The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge, skill, and competency to direct patient care for all services in this area of responsibility and function collaboratively in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating these services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit administrative responsibility, authority, and accountability for the development, implementation, and maintenance of patient care services within Ambulatory Care Services.
- Direct patient care for all services in this area of responsibility and function collectively in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating services.
- Promote quality outcomes in services provided for customers and families.
- Provide leadership for the ongoing customer service initiative and promote a work environment where employees are empowered to collaborate, negotiate, and participate in successfully performing work activities, problem-solving, and service improvement.
- Actively participate in departmental and hospital-wide activities through membership on committees and special teams.
- Support and actively promote organizational initiatives.
- Demonstrate leadership and flexibility and promote collaboration and teamwork within Ambulatory Care Services and with other departments in the organization.
- Create an open climate that fosters and supports cooperative efforts, collaboration, and teamwork.
- Develop and maintain strong and effective relationships with nursing leaders throughout the organization.
- Work effectively with Health System nursing leadership.
Requirements:
- Masters in Nursing or Bachelors in Nursing with a Masters in Business Administration/Management or Health Administration is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire.
- Registered Nurse - Georgia or Compact license is required.
- Minimum 8 years experience in nursing is required.
- Minimum 4 years in a nursing leadership position is required.
